ORDINANCE NO. 808
An ordinance to memorialize Fremont Water Works Park by dedicating it to the memory of Rodger W. Young and members of the armed forces from Sandusky County, Ohio in World War II; the first Congressional Medal of Honor to a Sandusky Countian in either World War I or II having been awarded to Rodger W. Young posthumously.
Now, therefore, be it ordained by the Council of the City of Fremont, State of Ohio:
Section1: That Fremont Water Works Park be memorialized by dedicating it Rodger W. Young Memorial Park and dedicated to the service of all men and women of Sandusky County, who were a part of the armed forces, and especially to the memory of those who made the supreme sacrifice in the Second World War.
Section 2: That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure in the interest of public health and safety and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor.
This is to certify that the above Ordinance is a true and correct copy as passed by the City Council of the City of Fremont, Ohio, and approved by the Mayor of said City, on Thursday evening, March 1st, 1945, during the regular meeting of the Fremont, Ohio City Council.
